The rehabilitation of a late 19th-century building into 8 dwellings, located in a district in the centre of Madrid, with a total floor area of 825 m². The renovation of the units is guided by the premise of creating a continuous space. To compensate for their compact size, the design employs visual and luminous transparency throughout the dwelling, multiplying spatial perceptions to provide greater richness and a sense of openness. The final flight of the staircase is closed off at the fourth floor to create a duplex unit on the top floors. The removal of a section of the roof allows for the incorporation of terraces for the penthouse apartments.
